About Reflexology

Reflexology is the art of using therapeutic pressure on certain areas of your feet.

When Jen stimulates these areas, called reflexes, your body sends nerve impulses to corresponding organs, glands, or other parts of your body, balancing your natural electrochemical energy. When balance is achieved, your body functions naturally and is better able to heal itself.

What To Expect On Your First Visit
When you meet Jen for the first time she will help you complete a thorough survey so she can learn about your health history.

She'll also discuss any concerns you might have.

This consultation will give her the information she needs to work with you, and help her decide on the best treatment plan for your health concerns.

Jen’s main goal for the treatment is to allow you an hour of peace and relaxationYour Reflexology Treatment
The treatment begins with Jen examining your feet for such things as colour, temperature, calluses, bunions, scars, lines and puffiness. These will help her get an idea of areas of imbalance in your body.

You may feel you need to get a pedicure before you visit Jen, but this is the worst thing you can do. Don't be embarrassed! For best results, Jen needs to see your feet the way they actually are — not as they look after a day at the spa.

The session starts with some warm-up techniques Jen uses to increase circulation to your feet. While she does these she'll check for sensitive spots on your feet and determine how much pressure she should use.

Don't worry — if she's using too much or too little pressure, you can let her know and she'll adjust her technique accordingly.

Jen's treatment follows a systematic routine that works specific areas of the feet, coinciding with specific parts of the body, in sequence.

Jen’s main goal for the treatment is to allow you an hour of peace and relaxation. Falling asleep is encouraged — and is considered the best compliment!

If at any time during the treatment you feel any area of sensitivity, let Jen know and she will ask you to rate your level of discomfort on a 1-10 scale. Since sensitivities signify areas of imbalance in your body, letting Jen know will help her watch your progress through all your follow-up visits.

The session ends with a foot massage using lotion and an essential oil blend picked specifically for youAfter the Treatment — Foot Massage
The session ends with a foot massage using lotion and an essential oil blend picked specifically for you. This continues your relaxation and further increases your circulation.

When your treatment is done, Jen fills out a treatment report which details the focus of the treatment and any areas of sensitivity you told her about. The report also includes a before- and after-treatment rating of your stress level, some after-care instructions, and the date of your next appointment.

You can also use the time at the end of the treatment to ask Jen any questions you may have.

Once those are taken care of, you're free to go — and to have the most relaxing day you’ve had in a long time!
